The Bell Ringers of St Andrew's Church, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire welcome you to our website
Stop press! Restoration project update: May 2016
This Thursday morning (26th May) we welcome our restored bells back to Biggleswade and especially herald the arrival of our two new trebles to create our ring of ten bells.
The bells will be on display down the central aisle of the church from Friday 27th - Monday 30th May.
You are all invited to celebrate the Hallowing (blessing) of the new Taylor trebles by Rev Guy Scott at St Andrew’s Biggleswade on Sunday 29th May at 6pm. The service will be followed by a little party in the Chapter House to toast the work done so far. A dedication service will be held later in the year when all the work has been completed.
Practice night: Wednesday
BUT our bells have been removed for restoration and augmentation

About the bells
The eight ringing bells, were cast by Gillett & Johnston of Croydon in 1912, and hung in a new cast iron frame
Until February 2016 there were also three bells cast by John Taylor & Co in 1883 for the now demolished daughter church of St John. Bell metal from two of these will be used to cast our new trebles of ten. The smallest bell will be restored and retained as a service bell.
Sunday Service Ringing:
With our bells out of action we will be assisting local towers. Come and join us!
